“Doing research was always intimately tied up with the ability to execute on the tacit knowledge you gained while doing the research. Now that they are divorced I wonder what the outcome would be for white collar work.”
Doechii “My first solo entry is a satire about one of the lowest points in my life and has no hook. A message to smaller artists: Create whatever art you want theres really no rules.”

Nick Patterson, formerly with Renaissance Technologies: "...the most important thing to do in data analysis is to do the simple things right. So, here's a kind of non-secret about what we did at Renaissance: in my opinion, our most important statistical tool was simple regression with one target and one independent variable. It's the simplest statistical model you can imagine..."
i do this kind of stuff in my letters weekly, but probably monthly now because weekly is a bit hard to maintain for me atm. after posting on substack for almost 30 days straight now (4 days left!), i have decided i do not like the platform (sorry substack) and will be back with regularly scheduled programming at my normal mailing list.
at this electric juncture in my life, i'm committing to 30 days of micro-essays – a variation of my earlier ‘50 days of writing’ from 2023. while most pieces will be personal reflections mapping this transformative period, others will explore and crystallize ideas surrounding my company. writing, after all, has always been my way of making sense of pivotal moments.
you can follow along in two ways: subscribe to this substack to receive each micro-essay as it's born, landing directly in your inbox. or, if you prefer a weekly rhythm, these pieces will find their way into my newsletter – a consolidated journey of the week's thoughts, revelations and musings. your choice, your rhythm.
